In God’s holy Word, He speaks a lot about being approved by Him…and dis-approved by Him. Question: what makes you and me as so-called Christians approved or disapproved in the eyes of Almighty God?
And what happens to Christians who are actually disapproved by God after coming to faith earlier?
Before we jump to immediate conclusions about what we’ve heard from others, let’s go the His Word, the Word that stands forever after the grass withers and the flower fades…
The main Greek word group that expresses these themes is voracious…it can be seen as testing…testing and tested to see what is good, the proof of such, and rejecting what is not or has not been good. To God.
The first Greek word rendering our English word “approved” is dokimos, an adjective. The verses are very illustrative.
